Strap yourself in, grab tight hold of the armrests, this is going to be some ride
You just boarded a flight to New York.
There are one hundred and forty-three other passengers onboard.
What you don’t know is that thirty minutes before the flight your pilot’s family was kidnapped.
For his family to live, everyone on your plane must die.
The only way the family will survive is if the pilot follows his orders and crashes the plane.
Enjoy the flight.
This is a perfect Summer blockbuster of a read, adrenaline fuelled, tension and suspense abound
The premise of the plot may seem superficially simple, however it is the reasons behind that you need to uncover and come to terms with to understand the factors that drove the decision to kidnap a family and make one man choose the ultimate decision of who should live and who should die
Obviously the time frame of the book is relatively short but that doesn’t mean that the pacing is not, relentless and decisions have to be made, the storyline is packed with twists and turns so that your never quite sure how this will play out
The characters are wonderfully written and the author clearly uses her experience, for me the standout though was Jo the senior flight attendant a woman who can outwardly remain calm and who has the ability to remain focussed.
The author clearly uses her experience of the aviation world and cleverly draws us the reader into that same world. Whist there are plenty of moments of drama there are plenty of moments of pure emotion.
The authors takes the reader on a trip that will haunt many who fly and plays on their worst nightmares and fears, it’s great
Summers were made for books like these, love a thriller which keeps the heart pounding, grabs you from the opening pages, a definite page turner
This year has been pretty rich for debut authors, and T J Newman is definitely a name to watch out for.
